Level 5

 

Industrial and commercial business owners are reminded of their responsibility to further reduce all water usage by 15%


Level 5 water restrictions were introduced from 26 September 2006 and still apply. The restrictions apply to all residences and businesses in Toowoomba City and Crows Nest, Jondaryan and Rosalie shires connected to Toowoomba’s water supply.

Prohibited (not permitted):

    * ALL outside watering using town water with any watering device.  This includes potted plants as well as gardens.
    * Top up of pools with town water
    * Washing of vehicles

Permitted by use of bucket (20 litres capacity) filled directly from a tap:

    * Washing vehicle windscreens, windows, mirrors and headlight lenses
    * Wheelie bins for hygiene
    * Washing animals, their pens and kennels
    * Greywater from laundry and showers/baths on gardens and lawns within the property boundary. It is recommended that greywater is used immediately . Sprinklers are not to be used for distributing greywater.
