Heavens Smile on Toowoomba

Celestial Smiley Face.

On Monday night Venus, Jupiter and a three-day-old crescent Moon appeared as a smiley face, then dissappeared over the western horizon.

I took some quick shots from the top of the hill at Harristown (looking west toward Drayton-Wyreema), Toowoomba in Queensland Australia (after a call from mum not to miss this event!).

Another smiley face will not grin over Australia until the early hours of July 21, 2036.
